"Deep Down"

Inspired by both "Rear Window" and "Body Heat," this contemporary film noir, featuring murder, betrayal and electronic eavesdropping in a sun-scorched San Fernando Valley apartment complex, began as one of five final screenplays selected from 2,888 in the 1990 Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting Competition.
Though the final film wasn't quite everything I'd hoped for, it was great directing a 35mm feature film that also boasted a teriffic cast, including veteran actors George Segal, James Farentino and Paul Le Mat.
