Filmed in Yucca Valley, California, over a 2-year period, "High Desert Renegade" is a colorful portrait of West Texas blues legend Buzz Gamble -- a man who spent 23 years behind bars, was released and found work tending bar, and was considered by many the best white blues singer in America, bar none.

This short was created as promotional tool to secure financing for the feature version, "Bluesman of the High Desert."
